Why Kathriona donates regularly

I have been a blood donor since I went to University in Dunedin back in 1977. I just felt that it was a great way to give something to others that I had plenty of and being O+ I am everyone's donor! Every move I have made around NZ as well as time overseas in the USA I have continued my donations. In the US I could donate every 6 weeks. So I am over 100 donations now and still think it is a wonderful thing to do for others. I did actually receive 2 units of blood a few years ago that saved my life when I had a medical event. I felt my small withdrawal from the blood bank was OK for all the deposits I had made.
