Why Christine donates

My father took me along to our local blood donor centre in Ashburton when I was 16 and I have donated ever since. As a Nurse in the operating theatre I once saw my blood being given to a patient that we were operating on (Australia and wouldn't happen these days) and in later years my husband required several blood transfusions following surgery.
