Mark is giving back to society

I give blood because it’s something practical I can do do help make the world a better place, and it’s a way of giving back to society.

I thought about doing it for years but didn’t because the thought of blood running out of my body made me feel squeamish. Finally a few years ago I thought “I should just get over myself”.

When I gave blood I was surprised. The staff are really nice, the process is very careful and professional, watching the blood running out was a bit weird but OK, and I felt fine afterwards. If you are like me and are putting it off, I say just do it.
