Christine knows the importance of blood donation

My son is a big strong 44-year-old who works hard, contributes to society, has a lovely wife and 3 beautiful children. But, when he was 14 months old, he was diagnosed with chronic anaemia, he was rushed to Princess Mary hospital. Doctors told us the next morning they didn't expect him to live through the night. My son was given blood through the night and in the following three and a half years until he was healed. The medical team where outstanding, but the people who gave that blood saved my son's life.
i have given blood ever since, it is the least I can do. It is such a small inconvenience when you think of the lives that it really saves. I will be grateful forever to those people who gave blood and have no idea of the huge consequence of that action. Kindest regards Christine
