Blood donors saved Maryse's life twice

Maryse faced not one but two unseen emergencies within a year.

After recovering from fibroid surgery, where she needed multiple transfusions, it was just 10 months later when she had another complicated surgery that nearly took her life.

Maryse needed so much blood that she continued to receive transfusions, even as she awoke from surgery.

“It's crazy to think nearly 20 years ago I died, but due to the selfless act of people who donated blood, I am here today,” she says.
