Cyclone Gabrielle update: Donor centres and mobile drives remain open

All New Zealand Blood Service donor centres and mobile drives are continuing to operate as usual.

The need for blood and plasma remains constant at this time and donors are being asked to keep their appointments, provided it is safe for them to travel.

We collected fewer donations yesterday after cancelling a scheduled mobile drive in Albany and closing our three donor centres early in Auckland to ensure staff and donors could get home safely.

If you are eligible, please book to donate this week or during the remainder of February at a donor centre or mobile drive near you.

Finally, please take care and travel safe during this time.
