Easter Closures
New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS) will be temporarily closing three of its blood donor centres for three business days during the week beginning 22nd April. Manukau, North Shore and Wellington Donor Centres will close from Easter Friday on 9th April, opening again on Monday 29th April.
All other donor centres will be closed on the public holidays Good Friday, Easter Monday and ANZAC day, but opening for donations on the business days as normal. If you are keen to donate in the next few weeks, please book an appointment now on our website or mobile app or by calling 0800 448 325.
These temporary closures follow NZBS’ holiday closures at Dunedin, Palmerston North, Hamilton and Tauranga Donor Centres during the Christmas period.
“After our recent Christmas Closures, and with Easter and Anzac Day falling within the same week, we have another opportunity to give some of our hard-working teams an extended Easter break to enjoy with family and friends”, says National Manager Marketing and Communications, Asuka Burge.
“We have robust continuity plans in place to help us manage and forecast demand to ensure closures of this kind are possible. We’d also like to thank all of our wonderful donors for their continued support and wish everyone a Happy Easter.”
