As someone with AB Positive blood, you have one of the rarest blood types in New Zealand. This means that regular donations aren’t high in demand but means you could become a plasma donor as life saving plasma donations from people with your blood type are in high demand.

Plasma is used to save people who have lost a lot of blood and help boost the immune systems of people who are sick or have had major operations.

If you are eligible as a plasma donor you can donate every two weeks.

Plasma donations are special and are only possible to certain locations in New Zealand including: Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
