Brian's first donation

I donated blood for the first time at the Taumaranui Blood Drive on Monday, June 19, 2023. As the owner of the local radio station, I have always been a strong advocate for donating blood and have promoted NZBS’ mobile visits via the Trunk FM airwaves.

Initially, I thought I was unable to donate until I came along to the blood drive to see for myself. It turns out I could. I lost my legs in a train accident when I was young and it was awesome to be able to donate after a hiatus of 50 years.
