Amazing Story
Jeremy's humbled to make a difference
During military service, I found out that I was O-. This had no significance until a situation arose where blood was urgently required and O- was needed. I cannot recall specific reasons why this was the case; suffice to say blood was available and the urgency passed. It did become clear then that O- was the universal donor group so chances were that I would be able to help in situations where blood was required for a wide group of patients. So I have donated for a long while and kept that up in New Zealand. I am humbled that my blood contribution can make a real difference to folk in everyday situations.
