What inspired Sene's family to start donating

Several years ago I was chatting to my teenage son about the value of giving. At the time we did not have a lot of money to spare and I was pretty busy working to keep the family fed, so I had little time as well. I felt that I wanted to give something back to the community, but could not see how I had the time or resources to do much.

One Sunday, we were about to go to church, and I said to my son that I was sure that if we both listened hard enough to the message, there would be some insight into how we could give something that was freely available to us.

The minister started the service with a plea to get more blood donors on board and I thought "Aha! That is something that I could do". I have been donating ever since.
