Nigel's reasons for donating

I started donating after my nephew Sean was diagnosed with cancer, We were all typed to see if we could donate bone marrow for him. Also my wife needed a transfusion after the birth of our second daughter, It saved her life. While there I was asked if I had ever thought about donating as I had a good history and good "veins" I started off doing whole blood, soon after the nurses suggested I do Plasma as I recover well and donating doesn't seem to affect me, So I have been donating plasma ever since. next one tomorrow, number 89.

I don't donate for recognition, I do it because I can and will do for as long as I can.
