Over 20 donations and going strong

I really wanted to do something to help and give back but I was so busy with young children, my husband, working full time and supporting the children with all of their extra-curricular activities that I just didn't know what to do. Then NZ Blood came to the small town I was living in at the time and a work colleague was giving blood. I had had a blood transfusion many years earlier after a serious accident so for me it was a no brainer. I could give something that I knew would help others. It was easy, painless and great opportunity for me to take some time out. The NZ Blood staff that travelled to Dannevirke were awesome and fun. I have now given 20 donations. I try and get in every time they come to Hawkes Bay. I wish they came more so I could give more. I know it helps other and it makes me feel so good.
