Former recipient Ray now gives to help others

20 plus years ago I was in a major car accident and needed a blood transfusion. I have always hated needles since then and never thought about giving blood until I met my partner. She is a blood donor and convinced me to donate blood, that was 10 years ago and since then I have donated. I now donate in the hope that I can help someone the way my blood transfusion helped me. I also enjoy the friendly staff up at the blood centre and the yummy drinks and biscuits on offer to all donors (and their waiting children). I hope others will give blood and help others if they can.
