Amazing Story

Rosemary's Story

Rosemary Volunteer
Rosemary first gave whole blood when she was 20. She has donated in Donor Centres all around New Zealand and encouraged her children to give blood too. Although Rosemary had to stop donating when she got breast cancer, she is still able to contribute as a volunteer, coming in to the Donor Centre once a week.

‘I love hearing the donors’ stories. You get to know people, especially the plasma donors who come in every two weeks. I've always been very impressed by New Zealand Blood Service and I'm happy to help.’
