Cyclone Gabrielle update: Auckland donor centres to close at 2pm

New Zealand Blood Service will be closing its three donor centres in Auckland at 2pm on Monday, February 13, due to Cyclone Gabrielle to allow staff and donors to get home safely.

Today’s scheduled mobile blood drive in Albany at 1pm has also been cancelled.

All other sites across New Zealand are operating as normal.

The safety of our donors and staff in Auckland is paramount right now with worsening weather forecast to hit the region later today.

Our staff will be in touch with impacted donors who were scheduled to donate at our North Shore, Epsom and Manukau sites to reschedule their appointments.

We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

Finally, please take care and travel safe during this time.
