Matt's donor story

I gave plasma yesterday at the Auckland Epsom Branch. I was getting into my car in the underground car park when I noticed a man on the ground under his car a few cars in front of me. I jumped out straight away to see if he was ok, he had a cut on his head which was bleeding, his legs were also stuck under the car. I helped him out from under the car and lay him down on the ground and called for help from another person in the car park who ran upstairs and got help from the staff. The elderly man slowly came too, the staff attended to his cut and took him upstairs to look after him. He had fainted after giving blood. I was going to go for a surf after giving blood as well but after this incident decided against it to be safe. I'm glad he is ok and it just shows the importance of giving blood or plasma to those in need. Matt
