Cameron: why wouldn't I?

Canterbury

Originally I gave blood because it meant skipping class. My school organised a blood drive for some of the senior students and signing up meant getting out of school for an hour or so.

The first time was quite intimidating. The questionnaire is very serious and there was a lot of information to take in. When my blood was tested prior to donating I was told my blood type is O Negative - the universal donor. I was given more information about how O Negative blood is used, in many cases with babies or trauma victims and how what I was doing was literally saving lives.

That's the reason I keep coming back. I feel a responsibility to help others. If donating an hour or so out of my day every few months will save lives, why wouldn't I?
