Q: I cant remember my password
Type in your email address and date of birth in the login screen and click on Forgot password. A link will be sent to your email address where you can set your new password.
Q: It says Im locked out of the account what should I do?
We apologise for the inconvenience please email us at email@example.com, with your Donor ID number and we will unlock this. In the meantime you can call us on 0800 GIVE BLOOD (0800 448 325) to make your appointment.
Q: I get a warning that the page does not have a valid security certificate what should I do?
This may be because you are using Firefox. Firefox users may need to add an SSL certificate exception to the Firefox so they can Book an appointment. Information about how to do this is available at URL: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/786755 (external link) .
Q. How are the results displayed?
The results are given for those that we have confirmed dates for, and ordered from the closet donation location to your searched location.
Q. How come there are unconfirmed locations?
Not all of our venues are confirmed due to venue availability but we try to have a minimum of 6months on our website.
Q. I click on a mobile venue but can’t see any appointments.
Either don’t have a schedule for this venue for the date selected, or there are no available appointments (fully booked)
Q. Can I make appointments for another donation type?
If you want to change your default donation type then they must contact us on 0800 4448325 and get a staff member to make that change for you.
Q. Why can’t I see other blood drive schedules?
If you are logged in as a plasma donor you will only be able to see plasma appointment schedules at our donor centres where you can donate plasma. The same applies for platelet donors. If would like view the schedules for whole blood then you must log out and go to search for location.
Q: If I update my email address and password details here will it automatically update my details held by the Blood Service?
Yes any updates made on the online booking system will also update your details on the app and also on our system.
Q: What is a Changeover Donation?
This is a donation where the blood flow was too slow or did not start. The nurse will remove the needle, and after asking for your permission, will insert a brand new needle into your other arm to obtain your donation.
How come my donation history page is a different number to my donation count?
For some donors their donation count may be different due to their donation history being for donations before NZBS was formed. Donation counts may have been manually updated by NZBS.
