Hugh’s story

Hugh

When Hugh was born in March 2005 by emergency caesarean he was very pale at birth. He had lost a lot of blood during the labour and birth and was given a red cell blood transfusion and platelet transfusion to keep him alive. "You go through a normal pregnancy and think everything is going to be fine but I started bleeding during labour and when Hugh was born he didn't cry like normal babies do when they are born" says Rebecca.

Now two year old Hugh is a picture of health and energy thanks to the blood and blood products he received.
