New Zealand Bone Marrow Donor Registry

What Is The New Zealand Bone Marrow Donor Registry?

The New Zealand Bone Marrow Donor Registry (NZBMDR) is part of a world-wide network of registries of people who have volunteered to donate cells from their bone marrow, if they are found to match a patient who needs a bone marrow transplant.

If your ancestors were Maori, Pacific Islanders or a New Zealand ethnic minority NZBMDR needs YOU!

You can join the Registry by donating a unit of blood at NZBS and signing a consent form allowing an extra tube of blood to be taken for tissue typing tests.

Please consider joining the NZ Bone Marrow Donor Registry.

Your heritage could mean the difference between life and death, to someone needing a bone marrow transplant.

Make an appointment to give blood today and ask to join the Registry or contact the NZ Bone Marrow Donor Registry for more information.
