Monitor Newsletter

'Monitor' is the newsletter of the NZBS haemovigilance programme.

It is hoped that this will be widely distributed and seen by those with an interest in blood transfusion and patient safety.

In future editions we hope to have information on:

• How haemovigilance has contributed to the prevention of serious adverse events
• Where adverse events have occurred and what has been done to prevent recurrence
• Interesting initiatives to improve transfusion safety
